When my grandmere passed at 94 years young, I was asked if there was anything special of hers I would want to remember her by.  I chose her old and worn orange Le Crueset Dutch Oven ,(yes they do wear down after so many years of love), her wire lettuce shaker*, her Kugelhoph pan, some knitting needles and this house dress. I didn't want jewelry or anything of financial value; I just wanted things that reminded me of her.  I was happy I did. I kept her house dress in the front hall closet for when ever I need to feel a little warmth or when I need a little inspiration.
